Yes! We’ve found this over the years as a data consultancy — our value is partly in having data ready and easy to find, but also in a contactable and friendly support staff. Argh, sounds like a right old sales pitch now 😴 but having the *conversation* around the data is much more important than the data itself. You can value data in some axes, such as robustness and timeliness. But you can value the conversation in others, like knowledge transfer.

Hmm, might have to blog this properly some time soon…
